Oropa Sanctuary
Oropa Sanctuary, set at 1.200 metres above sea-level, is the most important Marian Sanctuary of the Alps, placed in a charming natural hollow. Its monumental structure was planned by prestigious architects.
Sacro Monte di Varallo (Holy Mount of Varallo):
It is a real sacred acropolis. The historical centre with its renaissance and baroque buildings feature real treasures like the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, the Collegiata of Saint Gaudenzio and Palazzo d’Adda, the Church of Saint Mark and the Church of Our Lady of Loreto.
Graglia Sanctuary:
The Sanctuary dates back to early XVII century. Graglia is a renowned location where you can take short walks or go on off-track excursions in the surroundings and, in winter, practice alpine skiing.

It is the only Sanctuary devoted to Saint John the Baptist in Italy, perhaps in Europe. The most ancient documentation dates back to 1.512 and refers to the cave where is a statue of the Saint.

Madonna della Fontana Sanctuary:
Located in Crevacuore in the beautiful, green Valsessera. Legend has it that in 1534 a mute shepherd girl was praying to the Virgin Mary, whose image was portrayed on a rock, that was later placed inside the church, and when she had finished she gained the ability to speak.
