The Villa housing our B&B was built in the early XX century and has always been the dwelling of Ferrero family, who gave name to one of the canton of hamlet Portiglie. Until the 70’s orchards and vineyards were grown in the Villa’s surroundings and wine was produced. Ferrero family has devotedly preserved the beauty of the surroundings as well as the distinctiveness of the interior and has consecrate a portion of the building to a B&B where you can enjoy a pleasant stay. Surrounded by the peace and quiet of nature and by a traditional and cosy environment you will have a relaxing holiday, while getting in touch with old-time scents. Villa “Il Torchio” stands very close to the main arterial roads and to the most prominent sights of north-western Italy and is located in the heart of one of the most important wine-growing areas of Piedmont, where world-famous wines like Bramaterra and Gattinara are produced, as well of the World most important textile district.
